Webinar Description:
Acquire a deeper understanding of Receptor Occupancy (RO) assays as measured by flow cytometry. We will discuss the fundamental considerations for RO method design, development, and validation. Within each of these areas, Dr. Evans highlights critical areas of consideration which can impact your ability to robustly quantify Receptor Occupancy within your clinical samples.
Speaker:
Heather Evans, Ph.D., is an immunologist with a background spanning immuno-oncology, autoimmunity, and microbiome research. Heather has over 15 years of experience with multicolor flow cytometry assays and excels in assay design, optimization, and troubleshooting. Her expertise includes immunophenotyping, characterizing immune cell pharmacodynamics, assessing therapeutic efficacy, elucidating mechanisms of action, profiling drug target expression, and identifying biomarkers; with particular focus on T cells and dendritic cell subsets. In her current role at KCAS Bio, she plays a key role in developing best practices for flow cytometry assay validation.
What Will You Learn:
- Discover how flow cytometry can effectively measure Receptor Occupancy (RO) and be used to support your clinical programs.
- Explore common methodologies for determining RO, including free, total, and bound drug assays.
- Gain insights into best practices for assay design, from sample matrix and fluorophore selection to validation considerations.
- Understand the key variables to consider when quantifying receptor occupancy in your clinical samples.
Whom This May Interest:
Professionals in scientific and clinical research fields, including translational and clinical scientists, flow cytometry specialists and those looking to learn more about ways to evaluate receptor occupancy through flow cytometry.
