We are thrilled to announce a major milestone in the evolution of our global clinical support services. After months of detailed planning, collaboration, and execution, we’ve successfully integrated spectral flow cytometry at our KCAS Bio sites in Philadelphia, PA, USA; Lyon, France; and Crux Biolabs, our strategic partner in Australia. This achievement positions KCAS Bio to better serve our clients around the world by offering cutting-edge flow cytometry solutions with a global footprint.

A Recap of the Journey

This journey began months ago when we set out to expand our capabilities by installing four new Cytek Aurora instruments across three locations. These powerful systems are designed to revolutionize the way we perform flow cytometry, offering greater flexibility, higher resolution, and the ability to analyze more parameters simultaneously.

After the Cytek Auroras made their way to Lyon, France, and Melbourne, Australia, we celebrated their arrival with an official unboxing. It was a symbolic moment, marking the start of an exciting new chapter for our global teams. From there, our focus turned to the critical task of getting these systems fully operational to provide immediate support to our clients’ clinical programs.

Leading the charge was Natalie Carroll, our resident globetrotting spectral flow expert. This summer, Natalie traveled to both France and Australia to conduct Performance Qualification (PQ) of the new instruments, ensuring they were ready to deliver the high-quality results our clients expect. In addition to PQ, she worked closely with our teams in these locations to assist in initial assay harmonization studies, helping to establish consistency across all three sites.

Together, our teams successfully transferred our validated Pan Leukocyte Panel, a critical assay that is now available for use across our entire global network. This assay harmonization is a key milestone, allowing for seamless data integration and ensuring that no matter where your study takes place, you’ll receive the same high-quality results.

What This Means for You

For our clients, this integration of spectral flow cytometry offers substantial benefits. Whether you’re conducting clinical research locally or on a global scale, our expanded capabilities allow us to support your studies with faster turnaround times, enhanced precision, and consistent data quality across all locations.

The installation and qualification of Cytek Aurora instruments in three different countries not only enhances our ability to deliver superior services but also expands our reach and responsiveness. With our global network, we can seamlessly support studies that span multiple geographies, ensuring harmonized results that save you time and reduce variability in your data.

In addition, our global team of experts has undergone rigorous training to operate the new systems, enabling them to provide support tailored to your specific clinical needs. Our validated Pan Leukocyte Panel is now accessible at all locations, offering you the ability to tap into this advanced assay no matter where your research is conducted.

This global spectral flow cytometry capability means we’re not just keeping up with innovation—we’re pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in clinical research. By leveraging advanced flow cytometry technology, we are helping to accelerate the pace of scientific discovery while driving innovative solutions that benefit patients worldwide.

What’s Next?

As we move forward, we’re excited about the future and the impact this enhanced capability will have on clinical research. Our mission is to continue driving innovation and delivering top-tier services to our clients, making scientific discovery more efficient, precise, and globally integrated.

We owe a huge thank you to the incredible teams in Philadelphia, Lyon, and Melbourne whose expertise, dedication, and commitment made this expansion possible. Together, we are transforming the future of flow cytometry and expanding our ability to support the next generation of clinical studies.
