Platform - LC-UV/Fluorescence Solutions

HPLC UV VIS detectors operate by passing visible and UV light through a sample in a flow cell, then measuring the absorption of the different wavelengths that pass through the cell. The amount of light absorbed provides information on the properties of the sample of interest. This method entails the use of an ultraviolet detector in combination with a fluorescence detector. Fluorescence is used mainly for measuring compounds in solution, or in the case of flow cytometry, both on the cell surface & intracellularly. In fluorescence testing, both an excitation spectrum (the light that is absorbed by the sample) and/or an emission spectrum (the light emitted by the sample) can be measured.
